Impressionistic flowers surround the white picket fence and archway of this garden scene. The artist began this painting from an abstract wash of color. While the first layer of watercolor was drying, she sprinkled salt in the foreground, which created unique textures. Working with the natural happenings of the first layer, Joan created this view of "Nature's Bouquet."
